Care for magnificent but unpredictable prehistoric patients in PaleoVet. Each player becomes a dinosaur veterinarian operating a four bed hospital, drafting sick or injured dinosaurs from a central river and using treatment dice to return them to health before they wake and escape.

A turn begins by removing a sleep token from every dinosaur in the hospital, increasing the pressure on unfinished cases. After admitting a patient when space is available, the active player rolls dice showing treatment symbols, tranquiliser darts and wild results. Matching treatment icons cure specific injuries, while pairs can secure temporary wild tokens or permanent upgrades and triples can add more dice.

Extra tranquiliser results allow additional dinosaurs to be admitted when beds remain open. Any patient that loses its final sleep token before being fully cured leaves the hospital, and an escaping carnivore takes another dinosaur with it. Successfully treated patients move to the victory pile for points, and the game ends after one of the three card stacks is depleted.
