Aladdin, the iconic hero from both the classic Disney 1992 movie and 2019 live action movie with the same name, is portrayed by Mena Massoud. He is a street rat from the city of Agrabah and a talented thief. Impressed by his impressive skills, the villainous Jafar recognizes his potential and offers him the title "The diamond in the rough". Upon the Genie's liberation from his lamp, Aladdin is granted three wishes and also wins the love of Princess Jasmine.
