It has seen many reprints, most often under the name of The Wizard of Oz and is one of the most popular fairy tale costume themes. In the novel, we meet the main character Dorothy, a young Kansas farm girl, along with her dog Toto, both of whom are swept away by a cyclone, into the mystical Land of Oz. We meet some wonderful characters along the journey, all of which make for great fancy dress outfits.
