Welcome back to the palace of Sintra! King Manuel I has commissioned the best garden designers of Portugal to construct the most extraordinary garden for his wife, Queen Maria of Aragon. In Azul: Queen's Garden, players are tasked with arranging a magnificent garden for the King's lovely wife by arranging beautiful plants, trees, and ornamental features.
Design an extraordinary royal garden for Queen Maria of Aragon in Azul Queen’s Garden. King Manuel I has summoned Portugal’s finest designers to arrange plants, trees and ornamental features, and only the most harmonious display will earn the Queen’s blessing.
Players draft hexagonal tiles and Garden Expansions, selecting pieces that share either a colour or a pattern. Those pieces can be stored for later or used to extend and decorate a personal Garden Board. Every tile has both attributes and an associated placement cost, so building an efficient garden requires careful grouping, timing and management of the limited storage space.
Scoring develops across the game’s rounds as particular colours and patterns are evaluated, then the completed garden receives further rewards for connected groups and other achievements. Joker tiles provide flexibility when a design needs a difficult match, while the shared drafting supply lets opponents disrupt one another by claiming useful combinations. Queen’s Garden is a standalone Azul game and does not require another title in the series.
