Creatures from across the land have crowded into the capital to compete in Fantasphere, but raw talent is not enough without a coach who can recruit wisely, manage money and shape a team that works together.
Players develop their squads through hand management and pool building, adding new champions and improving the mix of pieces used during matches. Recruitment and upgrades take place simultaneously, keeping the championship moving while every coach looks for the players and abilities that will strengthen the next fixture.
The tournament unfolds across six matches as teams earn fame and fight for a place in the final. Golden Cup supports a broad group at the table and also includes automated opposition for solo play or an odd number of competitors. Only the coach who reaches the deciding match and wins it can claim the legendary trophy.
