Command soldiers or smugglers across an expanding ocean in Ahoy. This asymmetric seafaring strategy game gives every faction a different route to Fame as new islands and sea regions emerge from exploration. Dice placement powers the available actions, making each roll a set of tactical possibilities rather than a simple result.
The Bluefin Squadron uses sharks and military force to impose order with shot and sword. The Mollusk Union rallies undersea creatures to reclaim its ancestral home, while additional players become Smugglers who navigate blockades and deliver cargo wherever need or profit is greatest. These competing roles create different incentives around the same developing map.
Players roll and assign dice to faction specific action spaces, sail between regions, fight for control and move cargo through dangerous waters. Controlled regions and successful deliveries generate Fame, but the strongest route depends on the faction in play. Ahoy supports two to four players, with a session lasting approximately forty five to seventy five minutes.
